4Science has launched several new projects in the past few weeks in the field of research outputs and research data management.
The DSpace-CRIS community continues to grow (https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSPACECRIS/DSpace-CRIS+Users): our DSpace configuration for research outputs will be installed at the FHNW Academy of Art and Design in Basel, at the University of Siena for a molecular biology repository, and at the University of Turin for a publishers’ policies repository. Moreover we are supporting the Goettingen University for the setup of their DSpace-CRIS repository.
Our commitment to supporting scientific research, however, is not is limited to the CRIS domain, but it involves also Open Journals and Conferences. In fact, we have just acquired the contracts for the installation of the Open Journal System (OJS) platform at the Agriculture Research Council (CREA) and of the Open Conference System (OCS) at the University of Milano Bicocca.
Lastly, a pilot project, coordinated by 4Science, will start in the coming weeks along with some Italian universities for the management of research data through the Dataverse platform.
Of these and other projects we are going to talk about at a couple of events that will take place this and next week: the GARR Conference in Venice (15-17 November) and the EuroCRIS Membership Meeting in Bratislava (November 20-22). In addition, we will hold a Research Data Management course in Milan on November 27th.
