Last July, DuraSpace merged with Lyrasis. After many years of collaboration and partnership with DuraSpace, we at 4Science are thrilled about the new opportunities that are opening thanks to a larger community and extended resources.

Susanna Mornati, COO, CCO, Business Strategist, and Business Technologist at 4Science, has been invited to talk at the Lyrasis Summit: https://lyrasisnow.org/about-the-2019-lyrasis-member-summit/, being held in Chicago, at the panel “Trends, Challenges and Impact with Going Global for Community Supported Programs” on Friday October 4th, 2019. There are many benefits from working with people and communities from all parts of the globe. It enables us to learn from each other and have a broader impact. This panel discussion features speakers working with various community supported programs from different parts of the world. The themes that will be discussed include Global Engagement Considering Different Cultures, Languages and Tools; Incorporating and Adapting Standards; and Broadening User Bases. Programs represented include ArchivesSpace, DSpace, Fedora, International Federation of Library Associations (IFLA), and Invest in Open Infrastructure (IOI).

Particularly, we will focus on our long-term and vast contribution the DSpace community and our experience in the Research Information Management and the Cultural Heritage, to help our new community going global and face the challenges that it implies.
