“Synergies for Societal Impact in Current Research Information Systems” (SynSICRIS) is a 3+2-year project (2017-2022), funded by the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) through the funding body Federal Office for Agriculture and Food (BLE). The SynSICRIS project develops a way to record and evaluate the contributions and solutions of research and development to social challenges, using agricultural research as an example (https://www.uni-kassel.de/forschung/en/synsicris/). Partners of this project are the Kassel University (coordinator) and DISY (IT) in Germany. The SynSICRIS project includes design, prototypical realization, prototypical installation, and a pilot site, end-user test, and validation of a software system. The system design, development, and implementation have been awarded to 4Science as an extension and adaptation of DSpace-CRIS 7.
