Founded in 1854, University College Dublin is a research university in Dublin, Ireland, and a member institution of the National University of Ireland. It has over 1,400 academic staff and 30,000 students, and it is Ireland’s second largest university after TU Dublin. As a result of an international bid, 4Science has been awarded a contract to upgrade and maintain their institutional repository, including harvesting by the RIAN Irish national portal and the integration with the internal Research Information Management System, based on Symplectic Elements. The Research Repository UCD, https://researchrepository.ucd.ie/, managed by the UCD Library, is a digital collection of open access scholarly research publications. It collects, preserves and disseminates freely available publications including peer-reviewed articles, working papers and conference papers created by UCD researchers. 4Science upgraded the repository to DSpace-CRIS and developed an analysis module, based on the data collected in the SOLR statistics core, enriched to provide an easy join between statistical data and content metadata, allowing aggregation by community, collection, submitter, authors, etc.
